About
On August 2, 2015, we lost the matriarch of our family -- our mother and grandmother, Rena Mae Burney. While we still grieve her loss, we realize that we aren’t the only ones who suffered this tragic loss, for she meant the world to others as well. With her giving spirit, she clothed and fed those in need, took in and raised children in addition to her own, and worked as a caregiver professionally for over 25 years. After attending a church built by her family for most of her life, she transitioned to Macedonia New Life Center to support the mission of bringing new lives to Christ.

On August 2, 2018, Rena’s New Life Ministry was established as a community service organization to give back to those in need, much like Rena did. The financial, material and moral support given to families in need are fully by our family. Our efforts are truly from the heart and are in hopes that we can be a blessing to others as they prepare to establish “new life” among their hardships. Additionally, as we seek to keep the memory of Rena alive, this ministry is a symbolism of her “new life” here on earth.
